Living History Friday; Civilians

Date: March 17, 2017 Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Event Description Staff and volunteers will be dressed in Civil War Era attire and describe to visitors what life would have been like between 1861-65. This Friday, our focus is on the role of Civilians during the war. Visitors will learn about the shortages and substitutions that had to be found for everyday items. We will discuss the roles that women, children, and African-Americans played while the war was raging, sometimes near their homes.
