Celebrated modern hymn writers Keith and Kristyn Getty make return to Eastern North Carolina on Saturday, September 23, on their Fall 2017 “Facing a Task Unfinished” tour.
Featuring a band of Irish and American musical virtuosos, the contemplative yet high-energy evening of congregational singing and corporate worship has graced prestigious music venues worldwide since launching in the United Kingdom, including sell-out performances at Waterfront Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland; Ontario, Canada’s Hamilton Place; Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas; and Carnegie Hall, New York.
The tour’s popularity is due largely to the Getty’s growing international renown, fueled by such beloved songs as modern church anthem “In Christ Alone.” Consequently, the show highlights this along with other modern hymns and traditional favorites, hymns that propel us to mission.
In addition, Keith Getty has been honored by Queen Elizabeth II, as an "Officer of the Order of the British Empire" for his contribution in music and modern hymn writing.
