Date: October 6, 2017 - October 7, 2017
Restaurant owners and merchants and the public, get ready as hundreds and possibly even thousands of cyclists will stop in downtown Kinston this weekend.
Bicycle riders of Cycle NC: Mountains to the Coast began their trek from Jefferson on September 30, and they will finish in Swansboro on October 7. But before they reach their destination, the cyclists will spend Friday night, Oct. 6, in Kinston’s hotels, motels at the Neuseway Nature Park Campground.
The first set of riders will arrive at 11:30 a.m., and a steady flow of cyclists will enter the park from noon until 4 p.m. Early on Saturday morning they will leave Kinston to head towards Swansboro.
With 68.1 miles under their belt upon arrival at the park, the cyclists will have lost calories and built up a mean appetite. They will definitely want to check out downtown Kinston for food and drinks Friday night, and they will also be hungry Saturday morning for some hot breakfast.
Visit Kinston will provide visitor information and coupons encouraging riders to stop back by Kinston to dine, tour, and shop as they make their return trip to Jefferson.
So, restaurant owners and merchants, are you ready?
